Residential areas near the beach in Karachi have been requested to voluntarily move to safer places, the Defense Housing Authority has asked residents to move to safer places until the situation returns to normal.

Residents of Phase 5, Phase 6 and Phase 8 of the Defense Housing Authority have been asked to remove their belongings within 20 minutes of their homes and to clean their roofs. It has been decided to keep ration and first aid kits available as needed.
