Residents of Phase 5, Phase 6 and Phase 8 of the Defense Housing Authority have been asked to remove their belongings within 20 minutes of their homes and to clean their roofs. It has been decided to keep ration and first aid kits available as needed.

On the other hand, the fishermen of Ibrahim Haidari, Lagi Goth, Lath Basti and Chashma Goth, the fishermen settlements near the sea, have been banned from going to the open sea, but no instructions have been issued for their relocation.

Activist Kamal Shah, a fisherman leader from Ibrahim Haidari, told the BBC that the winds have picked up, fishermen are at the neti jetty, but no warning has been issued by the administration yet.

Meanwhile, bathing in the sea has also been banned on the beach, after which the roads leading to the sea have been blocked by the police.

In view of the stormy winds, the Sindh government has issued orders to remove the billboards on tall buildings, but the work of removing them could not be started in many areas including the main highways, MA Jinnah Road, Shahrah Faisal.
